30th at Boracay

Dan, Zoe, and I went to Boracay to celebrate my 30th birthday. This was also our first family out of town trip and we were all excited =)

Birthday Celebrations Part II: Family Dinner

I decided to take my family out to dinner at Kirin Chinese Dining restaurant in Bonifacio High Street on the 24th. We got there earlier than our 6pm reservation and the restaurant was still closed so we took time to look around the stores and do some photo ops.

My family at dinner before my eldest brother and his wife arrived.

I wanted to order cupcakes from Sonja's at Serendra but the flavors that I wanted to order were out of stock so I bought 2 boxes of donuts from Krispy Kreme instead :)

Birthday Celebrations Part I: Surprise Treat

My 30th birthday was made extremely special by a series of celebrations. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my friends at work concocted a surprise dinner for me in the office the day before I was scheduled to go on vacation leave. It was quite difficult for them to surprise me since I was already pestering them to have lunch but they were still successful and I was really happy. Thanks to my Mortgage Banking team. I love you guys =)

Happy 7th anniversary

7 years ago, I met the man who would keep up with my moods; laugh at my jokes; listen to my constant whining; indulge me in my retail vices; support me in all aspects of my life; the man who just loves me for who I am.

7 years ago, I met more than the man of my dreams, but the MAN OF MY LIFE. Happy 7th anniversary Babykins. I love you very very much :)

Mikel Gaerlan Photography

One of my close friends at work showed me the online portfolio of his friend who's into photography. All I can say is, he is pure talent.

Everyone, please meet MIKEL GAERLAN.

We've scheduled a glamour photo shoot with him along with my other good friend Marie. Ooohhh and after that shoot, he has also agreed to do our family photo shoot. Omigoodness, I'm just bursting with excitement now =

My poor hand :(

What was supposedly a quiet cup of coffee in the morning became a nightmare when I accidentally spilled half of the newly boiled water onto my left hand.

20 minutes after the accident, I told my husband to take me to Marikina Valley Medical Center's emergency room because I couldn't take the burning pain despite putting my hand under running water. It was particularly irritating how he'd keep on asking me to increase my pain tolerance as if there's a switch button somewhere that I can press to magically make my body feel numb with the pain.

At the ER, my hand was soaked in a really cold solution for about 30 minutes before a nurse applied antibacterial cream and gauzed my hand lightly. I also got 2 shots of anti-tetanus. When we got home, my hand was still in pain but it felt better after I took a nap for 30 minutes. We were still able to go to EDSA Shangri La to shop for Zoe, as a matter of fact. Now, the pain is no more but the ugly blisters are showing. Hopefully things will get better soon enough.

STOP ANIMAL CRUELTY!!

I was getting ready for work earlier when I read a tweet about the robbery at Robinson's Galleria so I quickly turned the TV on to watch the news. While waiting for updates on the incident, the news show at GMA 7 featured a video about a tricycle driver from Taytay Rizal who chained a dog to his tricycle and drove around town dragging the poor dog behind him.

I can't find the words to explain how much I condone this kind of maltreatment to animals. I just wish I can meet the driver at this instant so I can slap him or pour boiling water over his face or drag him myself behind my car. A lot of people have given in to their barbaric and sadistic side and do unimaginable things to animals. I just simply can not understand.

I really hope that we can all do something about this. I just wish that we have stricter and more serious laws against animal cruelty. It's just sickening how some people even find amusement in posting their vicious acts on Facebook and Twitter. I urge everyone to put a stop on this inhumane behavior.

TO ALL ANIMAL ABUSERS, THERE IS A SPECIAL PLACE FOR ALL OF YOU IN HELL. I HOPE YOU ALL EXPERIENCE THE SAME SUFFERING YOU BESTOWED ON THESE POOR ANIMALS.
